A 32-year-old Baltimore man allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting was issued a bench warrant on May 9 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn

Teonte Raone is charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, neglect of a minor, discharging firearms, illegal possession of ammo, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm in connection to an incident on Sept. 27, 2019.

During reception court on Monday, Judge Phinn listened as the defendant’s defense counsel informed the court that her client was sick and unavailable to appear in court.

Judge Phinn argued that the defendant’s case has been postponed seven times and issued a bench warrant for his arrest after failing to appear in court. However, if the defendant shows up to court tomorrow, the judge will continue with his case.

Raone was represented by defense attorney Jennifer Davis.

According to Maryland’s Judiciary website, Raone’s next hearing has yet to be determined.
