The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the early morning of Aug. 31.
According to a news release, officers were in the area of Ruskin Avenue around 8:56 a.m. conducting a follow-up investigation when they heard discharging coming from the 2300 block of Ruskin Avenue.
Officers found 38-year-old Thomas Fields victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and head.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where the victim was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
