A Baltimore man’s death was ruled a homicide after he passed away two years after being the victim of an aggravated assault.
In August 2019, 59-year old Kevin Jones was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries after officers from the Baltimore Police Department found the man on the 3200 Block of Garrison Boulevard with trauma to the head and neck.
On Oct. 29, 2021, Jones died in Baltimore County and was taken for an autopsy at the Medical Examiner’s office. The results of the autopsy were released on Jan. 25, showing that his death was a direct result of the 2019 assault and was therefore ruled a homicide.
A prior arrest had been made in connection to the 2019 assault that left the defendant’s case inactive, but detectives are now working with the State’s Attorney’s Office to determine what will happen now that the case has been upgraded to a homicide.
