Attempted Murder Defendant Trial Set For December

On July 26, attempted murder defendant, Edward McCormick was set to stand trial in December.

McCormick, 51, has been charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and use of a deadly weapon with intent to injure in connection to an incident that occurred on Oct.13, 2019. 

McCormick’s defense attorney, Landon White, informed Judge Melissa M. Phinn that the trial would most likely last three days. 

The details of the case were not discussed. 

The trial is slated to begin on Dec. 13 with Judge Martin H. Schreiber presiding.
