On Dec. 2, a 24-year-old defendant rejected a plea offer before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.

Christopher Eljian Holland, is charged with two counts each of attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and firearm use in a felony violent crime. Additional charges include, having a loaded handgun on his person, home invasion, and discharging a firearm in connection to an incident on July 10, 2024.

The prosecution offered a plea deal of 40 years, suspending all but 20 years, with the first five years without parole, three years of supervised probation, and no contact with the victim.

Holland’s attorney, Vanessa Vescio, rejected this offer.

According to prior reports, Holland allegedly shot a 26-year-old male victim multiple times after breaking into a home on the 1200 block of Sargeant Street. Detectives believe the motive for this shooting was a domestic dispute.
Holland’s trial is set for March 12, 2025 Judge Hope Tipton.
