The Baltimore City Circuit Court case against attempted homicide defendant Rudolph Williams was dismissed on April 12 when the prosecution informed the court that the state hasn’t had any contact with the victim since last August.
The 20-year-old defendant was originally charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use during a felony violent crime, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, and discharging a gun in Baltimore City for an incident on Aug. 17, 2021.
Williams was represented by defense attorney Hunter Pruette.
On Tuesday, the prosecution said the victim identified Williams as the alleged shooter in a photo array 10 days after the incident, but that the state hasn’t heard from the victim since then.
Judge Melissa M. Phinn accepted the state’s request for dismissal.
