On Jan. 12, 2023, Warrant Apprehension detectives along with Atlanta Police Department’s USMS Taskforce arrested Leon Hill in Atlanta, Ga.
Hill is currently being charged with first-degree murder and is awaiting extradition back to Baltimore for a crime committed on Oct. 18, 2022.
On the day of the incident, Southern District patrol officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1500 block of Washington Boulevard for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers located 40-year-old Elaine Jackson suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where she later died.
Detectives quickly identified the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
