Officers with the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) have arrested a suspect in a August 2022 non-fatal shooting investigation
On Feb. 28, officers arrested 28-year-old Antoine Mayo in the 2400 block of Dorton Court without incident. Mayo was transported to the Western District to be interviewed before being transported to Central Booking Intake Facility. Mayo is being charged with attempted first-degree murder.
On Aug. 16, 2022, at 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of West Baltimore Street. Once at the location, officers located a 55-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Western District shooting detectives assumed control of the investigation and were able to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant for Mayo.
