The trial of a 25-year-old Baltimore man facing attempted murder charges was scheduled on Aug. 26 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Emanuel Courtney is charged in connection to an incident on Dec. 4, 2018. He is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, having a handgun on his person, and two counts of reckless endangerment.
On Thursday, the prosecutor and defense attorney, Catherine Flynn, agreed to resolve some of the handgun charges at a later date.
Judge Melissa M. Phinn recommended the status of the charges be revisited in reception court on Nov. 23.
A trial date was set for Mar. 28, 2022, with Judge Cynthia H. Jones presiding.
