Suspect in Custody for 12-Year-Old Girl’s Murder

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Southeast District on July 19, patrol officers have arrested 28-year-old Omar Passmore of Baltimore.

Baltimore Police Department detectives quickly learned that Passmore fatality shot and killed 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley on the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue.

On July 21, Passmore was located and arrested by Baltimore County officers in Baltimore County.

Passmore will be transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he will be charged with first-degree murder.

On July 19, at around 8:01 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 12-year-old female suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers and medics immediately began to administer CPR on the victim. However, despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
