On July 19, at around 8:01 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a residence located on the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 12-year-old female suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers and medics immediately began to administer CPR on the victim. However, despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
