Defendant Pleads Guilty to Loaded Handgun Possession

Guevara Partillo Julio-Caesar was scheduled to go in front of Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey M. Gellerpleaded guilty to a weapons charge on June 20. 

Julio-Caesar, 35, was charged with having a loaded handgun on his person, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, having a handgun in a vehicle, knowingly altering a firearm’s identification number, possessing a firearm within 100 yards of a prohibited place and the discharging a firearm within Baltimore city limits for a Jan. 1 shooting. 

Julio-Caesar, represented by Leslie Guthrie, was given a 364 day suspended sentence with three years of probation and required community service hours for having a loaded handgun on his person. The prosecution dropped all other charges against him. 

According to the judge, there were also potential immigration consequences Julio-Caesar could have received from the prosecution regarding his immigration status, but the judge dismissed them.
