Police Arrest Suspect in Two June Murders

In reference to the homicides that occurred in the Western and Central District on June 2, Baltimore Police Department detectives have arrested 36-year-old Munir Dawan Matin of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Matin fatally shot 32-year-old Terrell Johnson-Smith on June 2 on the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and fatally shot 34-year-old Jarmal Harrid on June 2 on the 500 block of West Mulberry Street.

On June 10, 2024, detectives from the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Matin on the 400 block of Fallsway. Martin was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and additional charges.
