In reception court, a 32-year old attempted murder defendant went in front of Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland, on June 3 via Zoom for a new trial date.
Antionne Johnson is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, discharging firearms, armed carjacking, carjacking, theft from $1,500 to under $25,000, firearm possession with a felony conviction, having a handgun on his person and having a handgun in his vehicle in connection to a May 4, 2022, incident.
Because defense attorney Roland Harris filed a motion to suppress evidence in Johnson’s case, but had not yet received a date for it to be heard, Judge Copeland scheduled both the motions hearing and Johnson’s trial.
The motion to suppress will be heard June 5 in front of Judge Barry G. Williams. Johnson’s five-day trial will begin before Judge Lynn Stewart Mays on Aug. 26.
