Man Accused of Attempted Murder Receives Trial Date

On April 11, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland gave attempted murder defendant Daquann Toney a June trial date.

Toney, 27, is currently charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, having a gun within 100 yards of the public, carrying a loaded handgun and firing a gun in Baltimore City in connection to an Aug. 13, 2023, incident.

The prosecution didn’t have a plea offer for Toney and his defense attorney, Andrea Jaskulsky, due to the ongoing investigation of the case. .

Judge Copeland scheduled a trial for June 17.
