On April 15, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland presided over an attempted murder case relating to a non-fatal shooting on Oct. 23, 2023.
Ritchie Briggs, 36, represented by defense attorney Staci Pipkin, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, having a loaded handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle and firing a gun in Baltimore.
Briggs rejected a plea offer from the prosecution.
The trial is scheduled for May 29 and is expected to last three days.
According to Baltimore Police Department press release, Briggs is accused of shooting a 36-year-old man on the 6100 block of Belair Road.
