Southwest District Shooting Victim Pronounced Dead 

On March 7, at approximately 12:14 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of Furrow Street to investigate a call for an unresponsive individual. 

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive 41-year-old male suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. 

The Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and took possession of the body. The victim was later identified as Wayne Sawyer.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
