Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled a 27-year-old defendant’s murder trial during a reception court hearing on Feb. 26.
Christopher Straham is charged with first-degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure, armed robbery and attempted armed robbery in connection to the 2016 death of 73-year-old Andras Horvath.
Defense attorney Koryn High stood in for Romel Showell on Straham’s behalf during Monday’s hearing. Counsel agreed on a trial date following last week’s postponement.
Judge Copeland scheduled Straham’s four-day trial to begin on May 13.
