On Feb. 19, at approximately 7:46 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 4500 block of Parkmont Avenue for a report of a shooting and vehicle crash.
Once there, officers located a 42-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where her injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was attempting to flee from an unidentified armed suspect who fired at the victim, striking her in the body. The victim then crashed her vehicle, causing it to overturn.
