Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Robert K. Taylor Jr. declared a mistrial in the murder case of 47-year-old Michael Harvey on Jan. 11 after the jury failed to reach a verdict.

The defendant, represented by Jason Ott, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, having a handgun in his vehicle, conspiracy to use a firearm in a felony violent crime and making a false statement to a police officer.

Documents from the District Court of Maryland describe the incident from Dec. 12, 2021. Baltimore Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 600 block of Laurens Street. The victim, Aaron Adams, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene, and three other victims were hospitalized.

The next hearing is scheduled for April 1.
