Defendant Awaits Mental Status Hearing

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin postponed a mental health hearing for defendant Arnold Jackson. The competency hearing, which was originally scheduled for Jan. 24, was moved to Jan. 31 by Judge Rasin. 

The request to postpone came at the request of both the prosecutor and defense attorney Sharon Bogins Eberhart for reasons that were not disclosed.

Jackson faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of firearm use in a felony violent crime, reckless endangerment, carrying a handgun, having a loaded handgun and discharging a firearm in Baltimore City in connection to a March 23, 2023, incident.
