On Jan. 14, at approximately 12:59 a.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the I-83 North Exit 3 to investigate a call of a woman being shot.

Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals inside a vehicle: 30-year-old Jazmyn Reed suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound and a 27-year-old male, later identified as Christopher Lee, who was conscious and uninjured. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced deceased.

Lee was taken into police custody.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a verbal altercation had transpired between Lee and the victim, which led to her being shot.

Detectives transported Lee to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with second-degree murder and additional charges.

Homicide detectives have responded and assumed control over this investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.
