On Dec. 19, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.
Once there, officers located 44-year-old Tyron Fields suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Despite medical efforts, the victim was later pronounced deceased by doctors.
Investigators learned that the victim was shot while on the 6500 block of Saint Helena Avenue, where a crime scene was located.
