Defendant Accepts Plea Offer in Child Shooting Case

A defendant accepted a plea offer in front of Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Althea M. Handy on Sept. 11.

Teonte Raone accepted a plea deal for a total of nine years of incarceration. For neglect of a minor, he agreed to a four-year sentence. For illegal possession of a regulated firearm, Raone will serve a consecutive five years in prison and serve five years of supervised probation upon release. Raone, 34, also will not be able to see his child or have unsupervised contact with any minor. 

Raone was convicted for an incident dating back to Sept. 27, 2019, when a discharged firearm struck a child, according to previous Baltimore Witness reporting.
