Okeke notified the judge that he wasn’t able to reach the prosecutor regarding the case. Even though the prosecutor wasn’t available to appear in person due to being sick, she managed to appear over Zoom. At issue is an acceptable trial date.
Judge Phinn set Oct. 20 as a new trial date.
According to documents from the District Court of Maryland, on May 5, 2021, Fields and his codefendant, Keisha Clark, 46, allegedly conspired with Fields to shoot his cousin, Clark’s ex-boyfriend on the 600 block of N. Paca Street. The victim was shot in his arm and leg. Baltimore Police Department detectives were able to canvass the area and locate several witnesses and video footage to corroborate the victim’s statement.
