On Sept. 19, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers were dispatched to investigate a call for a reported shooting on the 5300 block of Jamestowne Court.
Officers responded to the location and observed a 25-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
A suspect on the scene, later identified as 22-year-old Malik Alford of Baltimore, was placed under arrest and taken into custody.
Detectives believe that Alford shot the 25-year-old victim.
Detectives transported Alford to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted second-degree murder and additional charges.
