Southwest District Officers Open Investigation into Non-Fatal Shooting

On Sept. 8, at approximately 12:23 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 500 block of South Bentalou Street, for a person laying on the ground.

Once there, officers located a 41-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was approached by armed suspects who shot the victim then fled the location in the victim’s vehicle.
