Judge Sets Trial Date for Defendant Charged With E. Hoffman Street Shooting Homicide

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn scheduled a new trial date for the 35-year-old defendant during a reception court hearing on July 25.

Tyrone Fenner was charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction for the fatal shooting of Donte Miller on Nov. 15, 2022.

Judge Phinn set the defendant’s trial date for Dec. 11 before Judge Robert K. Taylor, Jr.

Fenner is represented by defense attorney Roland Harris and is now being tried separately from former co-defendant Clipper Jordan, who is scheduled for trial in November.

On the day of the incident, Baltimore City Police Department officers responded to calls of a shooting on the 2300 block of E. Hoffman Street. Once they arrived, they found 25-year-old Miller in his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to John Hopkins Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers used surveillance footage of the area to identify the defendant and his car, which he drove onto Hoffman Street before Miller was shot.
