Eastern District Officers Looking for Information Regarding Shooting of Teen

On July 4, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Eastern District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 17-year-old male victim being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the right leg.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the Douglas Home area when he was shot.

Eastern District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Eastern District shooting detectives at 410-396-2433.

Update:

The 17-year-old victim later admitted to investigators that the incident occurred in Harford County. The Harford County Sheriff’s Office will assume control over the investigation.
