On June 10, at approximately 6:13 p.m., Northeast District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane to investigate discharging.

Once at the location, officers did an area canvas and gathered information that a sedan vehicle was involved in a shootout.

Sometime later, officers were called to the 4800 block of Bowland Avenue for a shooting. Once there, officers located a 21-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital by a medic with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim parked his sedan vehicle on the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane when an unidentified black male walked up to the vehicle and began discharging at the vehicle. The sedan driver then returned gunfire and fled the area.

Northeast District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Northeast District shooting detectives at 410-396-2444.
