Southwest Homicide Detectives Seek Answer in Fatal Shooting on McPhail Street

On June 15, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of McPhail Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by a 45-year-old male who stated that two unidentified males shot at him in the 100 block of McPhail Street. The 45-year-old male was uninjured during this incident.

As officers continued to canvas the area, they observed an unresponsive Anthony Cox, 27, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded and assumed control over this investigation.
