Man Collapses on Bank Street after Sustaining Gun Shot Wound to the Torso

On June 11, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1600 block of Bank Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 21-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the torso.  The victim was transported to an area hospital by a medic listed in stable condition. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 400 block of South Broadway when an unidentified person discharged a firearm, striking the victim. The victim then ran to Bank Street, where he collapsed.

Southeast District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Southeast District shooting detectives at 410-396-2433.
