Officers Respond to Calls of a Non-Fatal Shooting on W. Lafayette Street

On June 7, at approximately 4:59 p.m., Western District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to the 1800 block of W. Lafayette to investigate a call for a reported shooting.

Officers responded to the location and observed a 55-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Western District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim and an unidentified suspect were in a verbal dispute, prior to the shooting.
