Hospital Reports Walk-in Shooting Victim in Eastern District

On May 22, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Responding officers arrived at the hospital and observed a 38-year-old male being treated by medical personnel, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Eastern District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim was near the intersection of Greenmount Avenue and Preston Street when he heard a gunshot and realized he was shot.
