Eastern District Detectives Seek Answers in Homewood Avenue Homicide Case

On May 14, at approximately 9:22 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 2300 block of Homewood Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located 18-year-old Jamal Martin suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Martin was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
