On April 12, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin granted Clifton T. Perkins Hospital their fourth extension to perform a competency evaluation on a 2015 murder defendant.
Defendant Anthony Burris and stand-in defense attorney Sharon Bogins appeared before Judge Rasin on Wednesday, to confirm an evaluation extension.
Burris, 33, has yet to be evaluated despite this being the fourth competency evaluation extension, according to Baltimore Witness.
Rasin granted the extension and postponed the hearing until April 19.
According to the Maryland Judiciary website, Burris faces charges of firearm use during a felony violent crime and second-degree murder in connection to the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Earl Burton on the 1100 block of Laurens Street on Oct. 31, 2015.
