Officers Charge Two Suspects in 2022 Pimlico Road Homicide

In reference to the homicide that occurred on June 30, 2022, in the Northwest District, investigators with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) have charged 23-year-old Aamir Benton.

Investigators learned, Benton shot and killed 31-year-old Phillip Wallace while on the 4800 block of Pimlico Road.

Aamir Benton, who was already being held at Central Booking Intake Facility on unrelated charges, was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in January 2023.

Investigators continued to investigate this case and ultimately arrested 18-year-old James Jenkins, on April 11 for his in involvement in the killing.  He too has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Both Jenkins and Benton remain at Central Booking Intake Facility.
