On April 12, at approximately 12:33 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) received multiple calls to the 1000 block of Wildwood Parkway in reference to discharging.
Once there, officers located a crime scene in that block, but found no victim(s).
Officers were then called to the 3900 block of Edmondson Avenue where they spoke with a 27-year-old male who stated he was just involved in an altercation with another male that produced a handgun and began firing at him. The 27-year-old male, who possessed a gun permit, also produced a handgun and returned gunfire at that male before both parties fled the location. Officers on the scene verified that this individual was in fact, legally in possession of a firearm.
A short time later, Western District officers responded to Wheeler Avenue at Franklin Street for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old male inside of a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital by medics where he is currently in critical condition.
Investigators have determined that this 25-year-old male was the other shooter involved in the Wildwood Parkway incident.
Southwest District detectives are investigating this incident. Charges are pending.
