Trial Date Set for Homicide Defendant Accused of Murdering and Disposing Body of 23-Year-Old Man

During a reception court hearing on Nov. 22, a homicide defendant accused of shooting 23-year-old Quincy Harris and hiding his body in a car received a trial date before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.

During Tuesday’s proceeding, the prosecution had no approved offer for defendant Carlos Pearson. Pearson, 26, and his defense attorney Megan Gallo will receive a plea offer at a later date they informed the judge.

Judge Phinn scheduled for Pearson’s trial to take place on Feb. 10. At this moment, no judge has been assigned to this case.

According to CBS Baltimore, Pearson and Harris allegedly had a dispute over a gun, which Pearson was able to gain control of first. Pearson allegedly shot Harris five times in the kitchen on the 1900 block of Griffis Avenue and hid his body inside his car on Sept. 25, 2022.

Pearson is charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, three counts of altering physical evidence, and burying and disposing of a body in an unauthorized place.
