Detectives Looking for Answers in East Pratt Street Fatal Shooting

On March 10, 2023, at approximately 9:59 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 4000 block of East Pratt Street to investigate a reported shooting. 

When officers arrived at the location, officers observed a 39-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his body. Medics transferred the victim to an area hospital. 

The victim died from his injuries on March 13 and was identified as Delmyn Javier Lopez Ortiz.

Southeast District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
