Detectives Launch Homicide Investigation Following Fatal Shooting on West North Avenue

On Feb. 20, at approximately 10:41 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 2700 block of West North Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Once at the location, officers located 41-year-old Renyse Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and head. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
