Police Locate Two Shooting Victims, One Fatal on Edmondson Avenue

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) is seeking answers in regards to a non-fatal shooting of two men that which occurred on Jan. 15.

On Sunday, at approximately 10:24 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue to investigate several ShotSpotter alerts.

Once at the location, officers located an 23-year-old Kwantez Charles Henson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head and neck. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

On Jan. 16, 2023, at 3:12 a.m., Henson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

A second 52-year-old male victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left leg at the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Western District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Western District shooting detectives at 410-396-2477.
