Central District Shooting Case Upgraded to Homicide after Shooting Victim Dies

On Jan. 11, 2023, at approximately 10:43 p.m., Central District patrol officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 2100 block of Madison Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located an unresponsive adult male, later identified as 25-year-old Jimmy Bailey suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. 

On Jan. 12, 2023, despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
