Attempted homicide defendant Delmel Johnson’s bail review was postponed for the second time in two weeks when the correctional institution where he is being held did not appear for the Zoom proceedings on Jan. 4.
Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Kendra Ausby offered to proceed by having Johnson’s defense attorney, Robert Linthicum, waive his client’s presence; however, the defense attorney said the 21-year-old defendant wanted to be present for the hearing.
The prosecutor was also absent from the Zoom call Wednesday morning.
Judge Ausby rescheduled Johnson’s bail review for Jan. 13. The defendant is also scheduled for reception court on March 15, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
