Motorist Flags Down Police After Being Shot on York Road

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the late evening of Sept. 29. 

According to a news release, patrol officers were flagged down by a motorist on the 5400 block of York Road at 9:45 p.m. when the motorist told the police that he had been shot on the 5900 block of York Road. 

The officer observed a gunshot wound to the cheek of the victim, and called for a medic.

Baltimore City medics responded and transported the 52-year-old male victim to an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Northern District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2455.
