Elderly Man Found Shot in Area Hospital

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the early morning hours of Sept. 23. 

According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 1900 block of McElderry Street around 2:34 a.m. for a shot spotter alert. Minutes later, officers were called to an area hospital, where a 60-year-old gunshot victim was found seeking treatment after being shot in the right ankle. 

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Eastern District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2433.
