The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the evening of July 11.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 1900 block of E. 29th Street around 10:34 p.m. to investigate a shot spotter alert for gunfire in the area, where 17-year-old Tiya Adeshola Otugo was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to John Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.
Baltimore Police Department Homicide detectives have assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.
