The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting in the morning on May 1. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 900 block of Druid Hill Avenue around 10:45 a.m. for a shooting, where they found a 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot in the right ankle. 

The medics took the victim to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Central District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call detectives at 410-396-2411 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
