A 36-year-old Baltimore man charged with homicide rejected a plea offer on April 5 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Angelo Wilkes is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Jan. 20, 2020.
On Tuesday, Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of life suspending all but 40 years with five years on probation for first-degree murder and 20 years, with the first five without parole, for use of a firearm during a violent crime. The charges are set to run concurrently.
Wilkes and his defense attorney Andrea Jaskulsky rejected the plea.
Wilkes’ trial is scheduled for Nov. 28 with Judge Dana M. Middleton presiding.
