The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the afternoon on Feb. 28.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 2900 block of Cherryland Road at approximately 1:35 p.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The medics took the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators , at 410-396-2100.
